On 1st March 2002, the Association launched a new SAVH Client Identification Card to replace the old one, which expired on 1st April 2002. Some new features such as digital photo, barcode of client's NRIC number, etc. have been incorporated into the new SAVH Client ID card to prevent duplication.
The card is solely for the purpose of identifying the cardholder as a registered client of the SAVH and is strictly not to be used for fund-raising purposes. For clients who have not come forward to SAVH for digital photo taking so that a new card can be made, please contact Ms Marwiah Bte Daud or Ms Sandra Yeo at 6251 4331 ext 122 / 146 respectively.

To make its services more accessible to the public, the SAVH has set up a Satellite Low Vision Clinic (SLVC) at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) in 2001.
